News, changes and fixes

Attention:

- This driver requires Windows 10 (1709) or higher

- This driver does not support 32 bit Windows OS anymore (32 bit apps can still be used with an x64 system)

- This driver also supports Windows 11 Arm systems. Both WDM and ASIO are available. ASIO is included as 32 bit and 64 bit, both Arm64EC and Arm native.

- The installer is completely reworked and now copies current files to C:\Program Files\RME\HDSP

- Changing between the former and this driver on Intel systems, back and forth, should be easy and without issues

- In most cases, a restart is no longer necessary after both initial installation and update. TotalMix FX and Settings dialog are immediately available in the notification area and are also updated.

- To completely uninstall the driver start rmeinstaller.exe and choose Uninstall. Note: Uninstall via Windows Apps (Add & Remove) is no longer supported.

Update 4.62 (2), 05/19/2026

- Installer now includes the required VS runtimes

- TotalMix FX updated to v 1.991

- Version Information see Settings Dialog - About.

New in TotalMix FX 1.991:

- Preferences, Snapshots and Workspaces: Added options Load Room EQs with Snapshot, Load Groups with Snapshot, Load Record/Play with Snapshot

--- 'Load Groups with Snapshot', aka Fader, Mute and Solo groups. This option allows a more flexible control as the groups are no longer bound to Workspaces alone.

--- 'Load Record/Play with Snapshot' allows a more flexible control as Record/Play settings are no longer bound to Workspaces alone.

- Preferences, Device Handling: new Option Reduce volume Peaks on Snapshot load

---- 'Reduce volume peaks on Snapshot load' improves handling of extreme gain/volume changes between Snapshots, preventing short loud noise bursts.

- Hotkey R resets the peak markers of all level meters

- The option Load Room EQs with Snapshot also loads Volume Calibration and Delay settings

- The name of the last loaded Room EQ Preset is now shown in the Room EQ window (works only for saved Presets aka Recall list, 1 to 16). The name starts flashing as soon as any parameter is changed.

- Added Ctrl-Z for Undo and Ctrl-Y for Redo

- Open/close state of Recorder panel is saved

- Split position in 2 Row mode is restored

- Options Ctrl-X and Ctrl-M added to the Functions menu (to pull them from the shadows. They are not new).

- Room EQ windows are cached with size and scale information

- Window sizes are correctly adapted when changing between monitors with different DPI settings

- Nearly all dialogs will now be opened in the middle or above/below the respective element, reducing mouse travel

- On loss of communication with the graphics card (dialog error 207) TM FX now automatically stores the current state and reboots

- Added support for DirectOut’s USB.MADI SFP module

Fixes

- All-user option: on save files were generated that were only readable, but not editable for other users.

- DAW mode: display in matrix for Speaker B, wrong routings when changing from DAW to Full.

- Various issues fixed in Matrix view

- REQ windows were wrongly positioned in various situations

- Minimizing the app the REQ windows were not minimized simultaneously – fixed for both taskbar and tray Icon

- Removed several write processes during shutdown that were no longer needed

- ARC USB: Durec Prev/Next were swapped

- Layout, Submix-only option: show correct channels when routing is changed, e.g., by loading a Snapshot

- Compatibility fix for ARC USB and others (BCF2000...) for Windows 11 MIDI 2.0

- Added workaround for delayed accessibility after plug-in of the ARC USB

- Remote: receiving only SysEx data (not sending) could crash the MIDI port

----------------------
