Topic: babyface analog-in noise

o.k i have a very strange problem
i have a static noise  i can hear the graphic card (mouse move , windows max/min pluse a constant noise)
But ONLY whan i connect a condenser mic to the analog-in of the babyface and turn the gain up
if i disable the 48V the noise become much much stronger but it's the same noise.
If i connect ISA one preamp to the babyface Analog in  i have no problems.
if i connect dynamic mic to the babyface i have no problems.
ONLY with condencer conected directly to the analog-in of the babyface...
All of my drivers updated .
please help me fix it
Thank you

Re: babyface analog-in noise

Use a second USB port or an external power supply.

Re: babyface analog-in noise

I have tried all of my usb port
they all the same
i don't have a good usb hub with external power supply to try.
But i do have a new in a box pci-x usb 3 (nec chip)
That is why i want to know what do you think of it... is it a worth a try?
thank you again

Re: babyface analog-in noise

Everything is worth a try. You do not have an external power supply that could be used with the Babyface? Not a powered hub...

Re: babyface analog-in noise

no i dont have an external power supply for the babyface.
(i very like it that the babyface turn off when i turn pc off)
But i have found the problem!
after replacing the gpu the psu and testing the usb3 on pci-x the problem remain.
so i started to disconect all electric in the studio exept of the computer
and vWALLA no noise  :-)
so i start to connect it back one by one and see that when i connect the monitors
(tannoy active) i have the noise back .
SO i have a ground loop going from the
electric power ground of the speakers to the analog in ground of the babyface.
gess i will never need to record with speakers on ;-)
so i could make a monitors main switch for the ground and power (+ or -) and it will solve my problem.
if any one have Another solution please share it with me
Thank you.
p.s funny thing is 3 month ago i didn't have this problem
