Topic: direct sound problem in windows 7

Hi

When I try to play 48/16 stereo audio in foobar throught ADAT1/2, I get the following error:

Unrecoverable playback error: Unsupported stream format (0x88780064)

In Media Player Classic HC (madflac source, reclock set to direct sound) it doesn't work either (no error message).

The interesting thing is:
- It does work in Windows Media Player
- It does work using the foobar wasapi plugin/reclock set to wasapi or waveout using MPC

I am using:
- Win 7x64
- HDSP 9632
- Hardware Reviesion 154
- Driver Version 3.08.5
- foobar2000 v1.1.1
- MPC HC 1.4.2499.0

Any ideas? I have done quite some searching but I have not found anything helpful.

Re: direct sound problem in windows 7

I found out something.
Apparently it is connected to the interleaved option and the windows audio settings. I reinstalled the driver and now I get the following behaivour:
When interleaved is disabled, I can play a 44.1/16 wav file, provided the default mode for ADAT 1+2 is 2 channel, 44.1/16.
If interleaved is enabled, I get again the error.
I can play a 6 channel test file 48/16 file if interleaved is enabled and ADAT 1+2 is set to 6 channel, 48/16, however, I only hear "front left", played through the centre channel!??
Again, when using foobar's wasapi plugin, I can play both 2 channel and 6 channel files without error message.
