Topic: Global Record - Multichannel WAVs in Cubase

I did a track transfer from Alesis HR24 using 3 ADAT inputs with FF UFX and UC.
I saved the Global Record recordings as multichannel file which I imported in Cubase 7.0.6

I allowed Cubase to split the multichannel file to multiple mono files and dragged them to Cubases project timeline.
Everyhing works fine so far except that I can't use any Waves plugins on inserts of the tracks.
There is no input or output on Waves plugins on insert, signal doesn't go through the plugin at all.
Softube and Sonnox work just fine.
If I copy the files from timeline to another, the problem inherits.

This strange phenomenon only applies when I import multichannel WAVs.
I don't know if this is RME related since I don't have any other software than DIGICheck that does them.

The reason I use multichannel files in situations like this is that they are quicker to save than to multiple mono files.

I'm looking for a way to fix this problem in original project files since there is quite a lot of work done for example with time align and there is full album of material.

As the splitting converts the original files into new ones this seems not to be a RME problem.

Yeah, I agree.
Just a heads up for those who might do the same workflow and have similar anomalities.
