DIGI32 Series 24 Bit PCI Digital In/Out Card

Important informations: Driver Update Package 15

Overview:

This driver package includes version 3.50 (DIGI32/PRO) and 2.20 (DIGI32/8), which are now able to share an interrupt under Windows 95/98. This was tested using SCSI-controller, USB, graphics cards and multiple DIGI's - all sharing and using the same IRQ. The operating system does not support IRQ-sharing with the following devices: EIDE-controller, ISA-bus-cards und -devices (PS/2 mouse etc.).

Additional this driver package includes two ASIO multicard drivers which bring ASIO support for the DIGI32 and DIGI32 PRO. Please delete the old RMEAUDIO.INF (see below), as the ASIO DLL will not be installed else! After installation start Cubase, choose ASIO control under 'Audio/System' and choose the device 'ASIO DIGI32/8' or 'ASIO DIGI32/2' - you 're done!

Installation:

Our digital cards are now shipped including a RME Driver CD 1/99. The CD includes an improved installation script, resulting in a more comfortable and more secure installation with Windows 95/98, no matter which one of our three cards is to be installed. This new driver package replaces the single drivers on this Download page.

In case you already installed drivers from the CD there's nothing special to do, just update the drivers as usual. But in case you are updating a version shipped on floppy disk, or downloaded from this webpage earlier, we recommend to proceed as follows:

- Deinstall all DIGI drivers. Highlight the card in the Device Manager and choose 'Remove'.

- Delete all old RME installation scripts. Windows 95/98 puts a copy of our audio32.inf into the directory Windows/Inf/Other. There you will find several or at least one RMEaudioxxx.inf files, that have to be deleted. Else Windows 95/98 will ignore the new script in the driver update package and automatically use the old one.

- Click on 'Refresh'. Windows finds the DIGI's but will not install them. Point to the directory where this driver update packages resides to finish the installation.
